SSP&A Software Release: mod-PATH3DU

Papadopulos & Associates, Inc., in collaboration with the University of Waterloo, is pleased to announce the release of mod-PATH3DU v.1.1.0, a particle path and travel-time simulator for structured and unstructured grids. This latest release includes the Waterloo method – the most powerful particle tracking algorithm available for MODFLOW and MODFLOW-USG.

SSP&A Software Release: mod-PATH3DU

S.S. Papadopulos & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of mod-PATH3DU, a particle path and travel-time simulator for structured and unstructured grids. The original PATH3D was one of the first particle tracking programs to support MODFLOW. Since that time, the MODPATH program has become the most widely used particle tracking program for MODFLOW simulators. mod-PATH3DU integrates the capabilities of PATH3D and MODPATH within a single program that is compatible with MODFLOW-2000/2005/USG. SSP&A was pleased to provide sponsorship for the 2013 Conference, and to be part of the Organizing Committee, provide members for the Scientific Advisory Committee, and a member for the Panel Discussion. In addition, SSP&A Personnel were asked to give Featured Presentations and Presentations, and participated in Poster Sessions, and new software demonstrations.

Groundwater Desktop (GWD) is a fully 3D interface for visualizing groundwater models and their results. While GWD is flexible and might be used to visualize any model, development to-date has focused on MODFLOW, MODPATH, and MT3D, including the latest unstructured grid capabilities within MODFLOW-USG. GWD enables users to view the model numerical grid, input data such as properties and boundary conditions, and output data including heads, concentration, and pathlines. Models can be examined using cross-sectional, cut-away, and layer "exploded" views.
