Dr. Wang’s expertise is in water-resource management and hydrogeology and the application of business and finance concepts in multi-disciplinary research. Her work has been focused on the interpretation of hydrogeologic data, and groundwater flow and solute transport modeling for water resources development, protection and support for the design of remedial measures. Her PhD work focused on the development of approaches to assist decision-makers and developers in assessing risks and benefits of a project from both environmental/engineering and financial perspectives. This research involved soil-vapor pathways simulation, data-worth analysis, and risk pricing.
