Environmental Engineer - Boulder CO
As an Environmental Engineer and integral part of our team, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and implementing soil/groundwater investigation and remediation work plans.
- Serving as technical lead for investigation and remediation projects, performing data evaluations and reports, and developing supporting documentation (figures, tables, etc.).
- Managing SSP&A staff and subcontractors, in-person and remotely.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and permit requirements (e.g., pertaining to solid waste sites). Work experience in Colorado, California, Kansas, Missouri, or Pennsylvania is preferrable.
- Assuring project quality, including budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Interacting with clients and assisting senior staff on other business matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 4 years of professional experience in engineering.
- PE license, preferably in Colorado or California, or eligibility for licensing within 2 years.
- Experience in design and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation projects using novel technologies and techniques.
- Basic understanding of the investigation, remediation, and proper disposal of hazardous materials under CERCLA, RCRA and State environmental cleanup programs.
- Willingness and ability to travel to jobsites in Colorado and throughout the US. Travel outside of Colorado can be 1-to-2 weeks duration and can include weekend travel.
- Required skills and capabilities:
- Strong technical writing skills and effective interpersonal skills with staff, clients, and subcontractors;
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills;
- Enthusiasm and willingness to pitch-in on a variety of tasks;
- Do-what-it-takes attitude;
- Extensive experience with MS Office and one or more of the following:
- GIS (ESRI or QGIS),
- CAD; and
- Database software (Access or PostgreSQL);
- 40-hour HAZWOPER and annual 8-hour refresher trainings; and
- Programming experience a plus (R, Python or VB).

Salary Range:
Salary will be dependent upon experience, ranging $89,000 to $105,000 annually.
