SSP&A provides client-specific on-site environmental, hydrogeologic, and geophysical services related to groundwater management and remediation projects.
Our highly-experienced field staff work closely with our technical teams to ensure that all planned activities go smoothly to keep projects on-schedule. We routinely perform:
- Sampling and analysis;
- Remediation oversight;
- Geologic boring observations;
- Field oversight;
- Pump tests;
- Slug tests; and
- Well stabilization data collection.
Examples of SSP&A field services include:
- Risk-based excavation soil sampling, and site characterization;
- Groundwater monitoring;
- Design and oversight of pre- and post-drilling and well construction; and
- Design and execution of sampling programs for surface water, groundwater, stormwater, and wastewater.
Focused sampling and analyses includes:
- PFAS, PCBs, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metals, and other geochemical contaminants;
- Groundwater, soil, waste, and gas;
- Groundwater age-dating analytes such as isotopes, tritium, etc.; and
- Asbestos, and air quality.
Field Innovations
SSP&A staff developed and tested the innovative Well-DOC System, a patented well-fouling abatement system and method for wells, during an environmental project at the former Bannister Federal Complex brownfields site in Kansas City, Missouri.
